Paediatrics

Children are not small adults, and we do not treat them like it.

Babies from their first day, children through school, and teenagers who would rather be anywhere else. The jabs, the growth checks, and the nights when a fever will not come down and you cannot tell whether to worry. If your child has to be admitted, there is room for a parent to stay on the ward with them.

What this covers

  • Newborn and infant check-ups
  • Childhood immunisation
  • Growth and development monitoring
  • Treatment of childhood illness and infection
  • Paediatric inpatient admission

When to come in

If any of these sound like you, book a visit. If you are unsure, call and reception will point you to the right clinic.

  • Your child has a fever, is not feeding, or is unusually quiet
  • An immunisation is due
  • You are worried about your child's growth or development
  • A rash, cough or stomach upset is not settling
